Sankofa Fufu Flour is specially formulated to replace part of the carbohydrate with fibre, so it can promote good health. Our Fufu Flour is a healthier food option because it contains natural gluten free complex carbohydrate and also fibre is added.

Furthermore no artificial colour is added and it is made from gluten free flour, therefore it is suitable for gluten intolerant individuals.

By replacing part of the carbohydrate in this Fufu Flour with fibre we have consequently reduced the available starch in this Sankofa Fufu Flour.

Sankofa Fufu Flour is made from unripe Plantain Flour and Cassava Flour. It also contains Potato powder which helps to bind the main ingredients and improve texture of the prepared meal. Furthermore fibre is added for healthier nutrition.

How to Prepare Fufu (Single serving)

• Mix 125g of Sankofa Fufu powder in 350ml of water in a saucepan (approximately 1 part powder to 2 parts water)
• Cook whilst stirring continuously with a wooden ladle until fufu thickens, then knead to a smooth lump, about 4 minutes
• Tip fufu onto a wet plate or bowl and mould into a round or oval shape
• Serve with soup or stew

Hints & Tips: Vary water quantity to achieve desired texture; add more water for soft fufu and vice versa. Add all water at initial cooking stage to save cooking time.

How to Prepare Fufu in the Microwave (Single serving)

• Mix 125g Sankofa Fufu powder with 350ml of water
• Cook in the Microwave on full power for 2 minutes
• Stir and then Microwave for another 2 minutes
• Knead to a smooth texture and serve with soup or stew
